Julianna Swaney

photo taken from her blog

I'm going to make an etsy shop this year. :)

I found a new artist. Julianna Swaney. She has an antique kitch quirky feel to her art, which i love. And it stars foxes and victorian style, which i LOVE. It's vintage feel.

Love love love her!

Outre Gallery

An original Audrey Kawasaki

I visited outre gallery with Audrey Kawasaki's works, Eveline's and many others!

(i went twice i liked it so much!)

Here are a few photos from the night:

A very nerdy looking me next to my favourite art work at the gallery.

Eveline's marvelous wrok! She turned up on the night but i didn't get a chance to speak with her :(.

Audrey's work and signiture.

Kelly Smith i believe! :) *i think* Oh...I'm probably wrong :(

link to a certain photographers flickr set on the other night i went when it was STACKS busy! Opening night was very quiet oddly enough! And photo he took of ME!

New Artists

Catherine Campbell. I must admit, i wasn't stoked on any of her stuff, occasionally a piece will call to me, but i feel the way she is evolving recently, she is about to hit that weirdly located nerve in my brain that means i do LOVE her stuff. Nearly there.

This piece is the closest (from her flickr). They remind me of Liv Tyler? Weird....

And this other artist; Sachiko Kanaizumi, is AMAZING! LOVE his quirky stuff. I love morbid, sick, grotesk, and twisted stuff like that!

and I love birds!

AND HAIR!

Anyway, he is awesome!

Audrey is also changeing her style slightly, her faces are not the "typical" face she does, they look more sophisticated, less trashy, more adult, and more elegant. More, human. Still pretty perfect, but have a longer face, a realness to them. I am confused on the change if i hate or love it, they still look inhumanely beautiful, but just more "usual". It looks more mainstream. Not a bad thing, i don't think.

Found her!

Tiffany, I've liked her work for ages but forgot to add her to the list. She is there now.

Love her stuff because it is serrealism, symbolism, and animals...3 of my favourite art concepts!

Cockatiel leaf painting, In love.

Wow, havn't blogged much! I'll change that. I got a boyfriend in Novermber- that's why. I HAVE a life! I probably should take some photos of us together soon, I only have a handful of us together of our almost 6 months. Weird huh? *love him*!

*ahem* on topic:

Alright. This took me all of....5 minutes. I didn't even look at a bird while doing it, I did it all from my head...as you can tell *rolls eyes*. BUT it is a painting none the less!

Done on 20th April 2009.

Acrylic on dried vine leaf.
