I sold 5 tops already, we are ranked the best store of the week, AND i feel like a REAL artist now!

I'm thinking of applying to a course at Swinburne to pursue art. I really do love it!

I do need to explain this, i don't really understand the subconscious formalities of it, but its saying that birds should not be caged and made to sing for our pleasure, its selfish, imagine if it were the other way around? I have birds, caged yes, but the inside bird only sleeps in his cage and is free to roam and fly...that's right, unclipped, around the house all day. As it should be. :)

Skeleton Bird (not finished) - I'm thinking of putting a note in a speach bubble coming from the cage, and outlining the skeleton.

Morals

I think this one deserves an explanation:

The bird represents evil, it is a demon casting evil smoke on her that the world puts forth on us, choking us. It is the evil she is capable of.

The girl represents impressionability of human nature.

The balloon innocence/childhood/naivety/hope.

She is relatively evil but not fully letting go of hope of being better and showings traces of the good left in her (the shoe lace, an extension of her, a tiny tangent is still wanting to. But of-course, evil is very easy to succumb to. )

I can apply this to myself; a year ago i was FAR FAR FAR more naive and sheltered then i am now...i wish i could take it all back...but i can't (maybe not all). I should have done what the monkeys did and covered my eyes, ears and mouth!

Random:

 My local library has free rentals of DVDs so i've been watching random docos, like, "why is the sky blue" as well as old movies i've seen, ones that i havn't and those recommended to me.

I bought a Ukulele. I'm writting an album. Yes i will sing, play Uke and piano. I will design everything and make a music video or 2 also. I'm nearly done, i have a crap load of songs to put on it anyway. It will be a CD/DVD edition thing. not sellable. I'll give it to any friends interested.

Still obsessed with Konad. (80 bucks well spent!)

Nearly went to a gallery but i couldn't find a way to get there :(

Afternoon Tea Party

I went to a friends house for a "Tea Party" - quite literally.

I tried Creme Brulee tea...it was so divine and sweet and tasted like flowers- no sugar added!

We chatted about boys, cameras and beauty secrets.

I did their nails! Konad is so fun!
We watched Flight of the Conchords
Listened to Iron and Wine
Ate cup cakes and sweets
Laughed
Bought salmon
Donated money

and took loooooads of photos! ...And a polaroid.

It was so much fun!

Random Act of Kindess

I'm all up for this.

I try as hard as i can to fit in a random act of kindness- be it a letter I post by mail to a friend with chocolates, written on coffee stained papaer with a calligraphy quill i made from my own chooks feather and what not...lol

But today, the karma got turned 'round.

At work an elderly lady gave us all lollies....just because :) So lovely!
